Organic Ground Turkey Chili
Healthy turkey chili made with organic ingredients like lean ground turkey, black beans and plenty of veggies. This version is simply the BEST! Perfectly spiced and packed with plenty of protein and fiber. Can be made on the stovetop or in your slow cooker!
Here is what you’ll need:
1 package of Organic Ground Turkey
1 cup of Organic Frozen Corn
1 Organic Bell Pepper
1/2 Organic Yellow Onion
1 tablespoon of Organic Minced Garlic
2 cans of Organic Black Beans, rinse well w water and strain.
1 can Organic Tomato Sauce
3 medium Organic Carrots (sliced)
1 15oz can of Diced Tomatoes
2 tablespoon of Organic Chili Powder
1 cup of veggie broth or water
Turkey chili can be a delicious and satisfying meal that is perfect for colder weather. It's usually made with ground turkey, beans, and a variety of vegetables, as well as a variety of spices and seasonings to add flavor. Some common ingredients in turkey chili include onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, and black beans, although you can feel free to add or omit ingredients to suit your taste.
Let’s not forget about the toppings! Chili is typically served with toppings such as shredded cheese, sour cream, and green onions, which can add even more flavor and texture to the dish. There are many different variations of turkey chili, so you can experiment with different ingredients and seasonings to find a version that you love.
Here is a version I love……
Place turkey in a skillet and cook just over pink. Place to the side and start the rest!
In a stock pot, add carrots, bell pepper, onion, garlic and a teaspoon of olive oil. Sauté for 5-7 minutes, depending on the size of your veggies.
Next add in, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, black beans, corn and veggie broth. Stir and add chili powder and cayenne. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30-45 minutes or until chili thickens and flavors come together. Taste and adjust seasonings and salt as necessary.
Garnish with anything you'd like. Makes 6 servings, about 1 1/2 cups each.
